Work with us! Fun will be had, we guarantee it!

Nifty Hoops is looking for a few amazing men and women!

We are a unique company based in Ann Arbor, MI building hoophouses for small farms, both rural and urban, universities, and community groups. We are passionate about re-imagining the food system, and hope to help communities and farmers become interconnected again, growing food that is making people healthy, restoring the environment, saving fuel, and creating local jobs.

We deliver and assemble the hoophouse structures as a team, sometimes with the help of our farmers or other local volunteers. We work primarily in Michigan, but do travel to other Midwestern states. Being able to stay overnight sometimes is required (we normally pitch tents). On non-build days we work in the shop on inventory and packaging materials for future builds.

We need people who enjoy being active, communicating and working together. We seek people who thrive in an open, tolerant, progressive atmosphere. If you don’t already love local, fresh food (who doesn’t?) you soon will! Specific skills are not required, but you do need to be able to get up and down a ladder, use cordless tools, and lift/carry supplies. An ideal candidate would have a CDL Class A drivers licenses to drive our 1 ton truck with 32′ gooseneck trailer, or be willing to get it upon hiring.

We are an expanding company, and consider anyone who joins us a potential future partner in the business. People with positive attitudes, great communication skills, and a passion for making the world a better place will always have a home with us, and room to grow within Nifty Hoops.

This position is full-time, with benefits, and pays $12-20/hour, depending on skills and experience.
