Hoop House Colorado: Growing Strong in the Rockies
From the sunbaked desert around Grand Junction to the high mountain meadows of Steamboat Springs—and across the windswept plains and foothills of the Front Range—Colorado farmers know what it means to grow with grit. With unpredictable weather, short seasons, and challenging terrain, farming here is anything but easy. But it’s also what makes Colorado’s growers so inspiring.
Our team is proud to support farmers across the state with durable, efficient hoop houses designed for Colorado's rugged conditions—helping them extend their seasons, protect their crops, and keep local food moving forward.
Why Hoop Houses Matter in Colorado
Colorado’s growing seasons are short, its temperatures swing fast, and its snowstorms don’t care what month it is. Whether you’re growing greens at elevation or flowers on the plains, a hoop house in Colorado gives you the protection and predictability you need to succeed.
Our high tunnels are engineered to withstand high-altitude winds and snow loads while creating a more stable environment for year-round or extended-season production. More control, more productivity—and more resilience for your farm.

Farm Focus: Buffalo Pass Farm
Up in Steamboat Springs, at 7,000 feet above sea level, you’ll find Buffalo Pass Farm, where farmer Tim Rowse is making fresh, local food a reality year-round—even in one of the most extreme climates in the country.
In 2024, Tim ordered two 30x72’ Nifty Hoops structures. Before we knew it, they were up and growing—and Buffalo Pass Farm was producing crisp vegetables in the middle of a landscape better known for snow than salad.
But Tim isn’t just growing for his own community—he’s helping build a future for others too. Through his initiative, Feed Your Street, Tim is empowering new farmers with a turnkey model that helps them launch profitable farm businesses of their own. That kind of leadership is exactly what keeps local food systems strong, and we’re honored to support his work.
